Osman Hamdi
The Turkish Painter Osman Hamdi (1842 - 1910) was sent to Paris to study law. The artist continued his education in law for a while and then chose to study painting and archeology and enrolled at the Paris School of Fine Arts. He also attended the workshops of Jean Léon Gérome (1824-1904) and Gustave Boulanger (1824-1888).
