Josef Püttner

 

Josef Püttner (1821 - 1881) was a German-Austrian landscape and marine painter. Püttner initially trained as a porcelain painter in Karlsbad before moving to Vienna. In the years 1842 to 1845 he worked as a drawing teacher for a Count Zichy in Hungary. During this time he undertook extensive travels through the country and mainly produced landscape paintings.
