Jacob Jacobs

 

Jacob Jacobs (1812 - 1879) was a Belgian landscape and seascape painter in the Romantic style, with a preference for northern and "oriental" scenes. He was influenced by the works of Ludolf Bakhuizen and Adriaen van de Velde and chose to focus on maritime scenes.
