Georges Seurat

 

Georges Seurat (1859 - 1891) was a French post-Impressionist artist. He is best known for devising the painting techniques known as chromoluminarism as well as pointillism. He studied first at the École Municipale de Sculpture et Dessin and in 1878 he moved on to the École des Beaux-Arts.
